Gays Have Bigger Brain Than HeterosexualsNov 20, 2007 |

New studies carried out in Toronto allow to suppose that there is some certain correlation between the size of a man's corpus calossum (this organ connects the left and the right hemisphere of brain) and his sexual orientation and some other characteristics.
Neuroscientist Sanda Witelson had proven that there are more left-handed persons among gays than among heterosexuals. One more study showed that left-handed people have bigger corpus calossum than heterosexual persons.
This study lead to the question: is there any difference between anatomy of brain of left-handed and right-handed heterosexuals and right-handed and left-handed homosexuals. Scientists found that the back part of corpus calossum is bigger in homosexuals than in heterosexuals.
Since the size of corpus calossum is inherited, we suppose that sexual orientation is influenced by genetic factor, Witelson said. .
"The results we obtained do not mean that inheritance is inevitable, but they do show that sexual orientation of children can depend on sexual orientation of parents", the doctor said.
