STD's (or sexually transmitted diseases) are important thing to those who have sex life.

Though many of STD’s can be cured, some may need a long treatment and some still remain incurable.

You can use these prevention tips to decrease the risk of contamination.

1. Be informed

If you know the symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases, it can help you prevent yourself from risk of contamination.

2. Watch out

Information can be insufficient to protect you from diseases. You can find out such signs as unusual discharges, pimples or eruption and other signs of infections.

You can do the "check-up" during the foreplay, while undressing and massaging.

Don't try to test your stamina if you discovered something suspicious: the best way will be to keep yourself from sexual activity and advise your partner consult the doctor.

3. Try to avoid casual sex activity

Multiple sex partners increase the risk to venereal diseases contamination.

4. Be honest

If you have or think you have a sexually transmitted disease, it would be better to inform your partner of this.

It can urge your partner to watch over the possible symptoms and will help to prevent circulation of the infection.

5. Don't put off the checkup

Timely diagnosis increases the effectiveness of the treatment and helps to avoid complications.

Most dangerous infections are viral and bacterial ones (AIDS, hepatitis B, syphilis). Their causative agents live in various biologic fluids of a man, first of all in blood and sperm.

Lesions and wounds let the infection penetrate the other organism via blood.

Mucous parts contact closely during kissing. The risk is less than during a genital or oral contacts, but still you should be aware for such STD's as:

• genital herpes
• syphilis
• hepatitis A,
• anogenital warts

Oral sex includes such risks of spreading and getting chlamydeous infection, gonorrhea, hepatitis B and C, genital herpes, syphilis and anogenital warts. HIV is possible if you have wounds on skin or mucous parts.

Mutual masturbation that includes rubbing of the genitals may be dangerous if a semen gets into a wounded part of the body.

Anal contacts risks are high and include hepatitis A,B and C, HIV, genital herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, parasitic infections and others.

The safiest way to protect you from STD's is to use condoms not only during genital and anal sex but during oral sex and rimming as well.

This can be a rather reasonable thing to do when you have casual sex contacts. The most important thing to remember is that condom should be you "best friend", available at any time you are sexually active.
